Privacy Policy

Status Saver, published by Divine Tek · Last updated: 7 September 2026

This policy explains what information the Status Saver Android app ("the app", "we") accesses, how it is used, and the choices you have. We wrote it to be read, not skimmed: the short version is that the app works entirely on your phone and does not send your statuses, photos, videos or personal information to us or anyone else.

1. What the app does

Status Saver lets you view the WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business statuses you have already opened in those apps, and save copies of them to your phone's gallery before they expire. Everything happens locally on your device.

2. Information the app accesses

3. Information we collect

None. The app has no account system, no sign-in, and no server of ours that it talks to. We do not collect, store or receive your name, phone number, contacts, location, statuses, photos, videos or usage data. Your preferences (theme, chosen app, notification setting, save count for the rating prompt) are stored only on your device and are deleted when you uninstall the app.

4. Third-party services

5. Sharing and reposting

When you use Share or Repost, the app hands the selected file to the app you choose (for example WhatsApp) through the standard Android share system. From that point the receiving app's policies apply. We never see what you share or with whom.

6. Your responsibilities

Statuses are posted by other people. Please respect their privacy and rights: save and reshare content only where you have permission to do so, and do not use the app to harass, impersonate or infringe on anyone.

7. Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 (or the age of digital consent in your country) and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Since the app collects no personal data, no such information is held.

8. Security

Because your data never leaves your device, its security depends on your phone's own protections. We recommend keeping your device locked and up to date.

9. Your rights

You can revoke the app's folder access at any time in your phone's Settings, and remove saved copies from your gallery whenever you like. Uninstalling the app deletes all of its settings. Users in Nigeria have rights under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, and users elsewhere may have rights under laws such as the GDPR; since we hold no personal data, there is nothing for us to access, correct or erase, but you can still contact us with any question.

10. Changes to this policy

If the app starts doing something new with data (for example, adding advertising), we will update this page and change the date at the top before that version is released.
